For 30 years as a public school art teacher I would often rush out of the house in the morning without the luxury of having a cup of coffee. In my retirement I now have the luxury of easing into the day. I Iight a candle , make a fire, although I turn it on with a switch , and I truly enjoy a cup of coffee. I grind my beans and smell the Aroma. I have a favorite cup as all coffee connoisseurs should. I take the time to sit quietly and reflect on what a treasure it is
to create a new day. I’ve started photographing and posting my cup in this quiet time and have added a quote to the photo often about art , music , or joy hoping to inspire someone else to become more self aware of the beauty in life. I say good morning . Fire and Coffee.
